🚀 Just back from an incredible week at WebSummit 2023 in Lisbon - what an amazing event!
With over 70,000 participants and industry key players gathered under one roof, it was an exhilarating experience! One of the highlights for me was the fascinating SportsTech summit. Hearing from guest speakers like Roberto Carlos, Patrícia Mamona, Sol Campbell, Patrice Evra and Tomás Appleton was an absolute privilege. Their insights into the intersection of technology and sports were truly eye-opening. I was particularly intrigued by a compelling talk about data in sports by Damien Comolli (President Toulouse Football Club), emphasizing how decisions have become the norm in today's sporting landscape.
Roberto Carlos's discussion about mental distress and its impact on his game was deeply moving. His openness about facing online hate and racism shed light on the challenges athletes can encounter beyond the field. Another standout moment was the conversation between Tomás Appleton (Captain of Portugal national rugby team), and Patricia Mamona (Olympic silver-medalist in triple jump). Their dialogue about athletes' ability to excel not only in their respective sports but also in new ventures was incredibly motivating.
And on top of all this, I had the great opportunity to present myflow by MindMetrix AG to this exceptional audience. The feedback received was immensely encouraging, validating the need for such solutions in the sporting world. The connections made through our shared enthusiasm for our product were invaluable.
